So let’s begin this episode to know more about her Inspirational woman.
S01E02- WHAT’S IN MY WONDERLAND
It’s International Women’s Day on Friday 8th March, so I’d like to tell you all about the most inspirational woman in my life.
My mother has always been one of the biggest inspirations in my life. I remember when I was a child, I got asked in school what I wanted to be, I told them I wanted to be a housewife like my mum. My school wasn’t very impressed, but as I got older, I realized my mum chose to put her children before her career and I have massive respect for her for doing that.
My brother and I always came first, before her, before anyone. I always knew exactly where she was, waiting at home for me, for if I had a bad day or a good day. I didn’t have an easy school life, I suffered from bullying and being excluded because I wasn’t like the rest of the girls in my schools. My mother taught me it was okay to be different and that I should embrace who I am instead of pretending to be who I am not.
I’ve never been a very decisive person, I find it hard to make decisions especially ones that affect my future, meaning I changed my ideal career a lot when I was a teenager, changing college courses’ and jobs etc. No matter what choice I made, she had my back and pushed me to do the best I could.
WHY SHE IS MY INSPIRATION?
She didn’t just teach me to talk or walk, she taught me to smile, laugh and love life. She taught me about what’s important in life. She taught me that it didn’t matter if I was rich or poor as long as I’m happy, the rest was just a bonus.
I know that whenever I am in a puzzle or in need of a chat, she is always there for me. There’s a quote that I love ‘Home is where mum is.’ I’ll always find a home in my mother and that is why she is my Inspirational woman. If I could be anything like her, then I know that I’m doing a good job.
Take today to wish your inspirational woman a Happy International Women’s day, let them know that they inspire you, and mean the world to you.
