CONFUSED GRATISOULS

Are you Really Busy?

We often say that ‘I am very busy; I’ll talk to you later’ or ‘I’m busy right now will see you later’. But how busy are you exactly? Do we use this excuse to escape socializing or to stay isolated and later on complain about how lonely we are?

Maybe we are actually busy or pretend to stay occupied both are equally bad for us. I’ll tell you why!!

You’re such a Busy Bee!

Busy Bee

If you genuinely are busy 24*7 and can’t take out some time for yourself and your family or friends, then all your work ethic, your workload is not worth what you are sacrificing for. All your pending work, your overtime efforts, your extra money will go to waste if you can’t maintain a balance between your work and personal life equally.

Everything requires constant care and support, so why not your other relations and yourself? Take some time off from your busy schedule, and spend some time with yourself and your loved ones!! You’ll feel rejuvenated!!

Are you making an excuse?

Introvert

If you are just pretending to stay occupied to avoid human contact then I’m sorry to say but it will be your loss at the end of the day. Because you know what? You won’t have to make these excuses for long as those people will gradually disappear from your life sooner or later. Then you can happily stay with yourself and your ‘pretentious work’.

We tell people we are busy, that we have a lot going on in our lives whereas we are just lying on the bed or doing the bare minimum to even support our future growth. If you are telling others that you are genuinely busy then it should be seen as a result in your career growth, otherwise, you’re just fooling yourself.

What are the Side Effects of Faking Being Busy?

First of all, you’ll develop a negative thought process because you are way too idle for your age. You should be going out there, making things happen, doing two shifts (if necessary), supporting yourself and stop making excuses.

Socialize

An empty mind is a devil’s workshop. This statement is true. Because the more idle or monotonous your mind will be, the more devious things your brain will come up with. So, stay occupied instead of faking it.

Do things today that your future self will thank you for. You have the energy in you right now. Don’t let it go to waste. Use it mindfully.

Secondly, as I already said you’ll lose your relations with all these fake excuses. Just go out there and socialize. You’ll get new ideas, your brain will stay productively occupied, you’ll gather new information about what is going up in the actual world rather than holing yourself up in your room, just breathe in the open.

Don’t sit idle, waste your time by faking excuses. Just breathe in the fresh air, bond with your people, make new ones, and keep yourself occupied but in a productive way!! Because that’s what humans are supposed to do, bond with others and maintain a HUMAN contact!!

Now, go get ready to do something productive this week!! You’ve got this!!

I am guilty of saying I’m too busy when someone wants to have a long chat about something I’m not interested in – usually my ex husband going on about football when he’s supposed to be speaking to his children 😂
Generally I am quite a busy person, but I always make time for people if they need me.
