EARLY TWENTIES
My father usually says, “your ‘early twenties’ is your make or break stage. If you hustle harder and struggle in this age then the rest of your life is all sorted. But if you keep on procrastinating and leave everything on your destiny then you’ll be struggling for the rest of your lives. So, it’s your choice!!”
Hello people!! Welcome back to my blog!! I’m in my early twenties and hella confused about what life has in store for me and what would be my future like. If you’re on the same boat as me then let’s sail through this together!! If not, you can still sail with me and experience this journey with me!!

WHY IS EARLY TWENTIES A CRUCIAL AGE?
Okay, I’ll answer that for you. Your early twenties are crucial because-
- You have recently graduated from your college and completely clueless about what to do next with your life.
- When you see your elder siblings or family members doing great things with their lives and you’re just planning about a Netflix and chill kinda night.
- Some of your friends have moved out to a different country for further studies or job and you’re still figuring out what’s good and bad for you.
If you can answer these questions without anxiety then you have your life all sorted out and have a future plan. But if you feel a bit anxious while thinking about these situations then you need to stand up for yourself and do something that your future self would be proud of.
Don’t worry we all 90’s kids are in this together and sooner or later our destiny will bring us to our paths eventually.

BUT CAN WE LEAVE EVERYTHING ON DESTINY?
What does it actually mean when people say that ‘ you were destined to meet these people who are in your life right now’ or ‘ it was all pre-destined for you’. I feel that destiny is a very wide concept and sometimes we take it as an excuse and leave everything on destiny.
But is it the right thing to do? If we are already destined to be a star then why work? Destiny will bring us to that? Right? NO. ABSOLUTELY WRONG. If you are destined to be there you have to work hard to be there first. Without dedication and hard work, you cannot be ‘just destined’ to reach a prestigious position.
There’s a saying in Hindi, “ KARAM KARTE JAO, PHAL KI CHINTA NA KARO”, it means that keep on doing your hard work and don’t feel tense about if you’ll get a good result or not. I actually believe that. If we leave everything on our destiny and don’t do any hard work for it, then we can’t blame if our destiny takes a U-turn and lands us up nowhere.
I’m not saying that one should stop enjoying their life, or stop hanging out with their friends and be all serious about it. It is your 20’s, you gotta enjoy your youthful days too. You gotta go on those unplanned trips with your friends, you gotta dance like nobody’s watching, eat what you want. You have to create memories. But while enjoying your age you have to figure out a future plan as well.

FIGURE OUT
You have to figure out your likes and dislikes, your career path, if you want to pursue a job, business or higher studies. You have to think about all these things right NOW. You have to think about all these things in the midst of your enjoyment. Because once this time is gone, and you couldn’t plan it on time then my friend ‘destiny’ will have something else for you and you have to be prepared for that.
I’m not scaring you, just giving you a reality check, which obviously implies to me as well, because as I said we are in this together!! So, let’s keep our priorities straight, enjoy this time, and be a bit serious about our future because our early twenties are crucial.
Well if you are older than this age bracket we welcome your experienced advice on the same because there is nothing better than relating to someone’s personal practical experiences. And if you are younger than this age bracket you can relax for a while and be prepared for your future after reading this!!
Until then live positively and happily!!

Right now – 20’s or 40’s or 80’s – matters most 😉 I found my mojo aka followed my dreams mid 30’s. We are all so young, when we live in the present. Thanks for sharing Karishma.
Yeah age doesn’t matter because one can fulfill their dreams anytime. But I feel 20s is kind of a crucial age to decide which path to take because that could be a career defining moment!
