We feel confused on an almost daily basis. Going out, what to wear? Whether to stay in and Netflix or go out and party? Whether to share your deepest emotions with your friends and family or keep quiet and handle it on your own? Confused, confused, confused.
Sometimes we choose the right option and sometimes our choice can go wrong. But why do we feel so confused about the basic things in our life? Currently, I can think of 3 reasons.
3 reasons why people get Confused so Often and what’s the Solution?
1. We Overthink a lot
Overthinking about the same thing over and over again can create a great amount of unnecessary confusion. We overthink about whether to share our problems with our people or to handle it on our own because we don’t want to ‘disturb’ others.
But overthinking will make us feel more confused than we were initially because we’ll be battling with our own selves.
Solution- If you are overthinking various things at once, go with the choice that your gut feeling says is right because usually in those situations, our intuition is usually right which we don’t listen to.
2. We are surrounded by a lot of Opinions
Usually, when we ask a lot of people about our inner confusion, and everyone gives an opinion based on their understanding, that creates more confusion.
Now I’m not saying that you shouldn’t talk to people or share your problems with others. It helps when we talk to people about what’s going on in our lives, but too many opinions can deviate from what we actually want.
Solution- Get opinions from people, share your dilemmas with them, but still listen to your inner voice first. People will tell you what they feel is right (obviously keeping you in mind) but we know ourselves best so try to have a stronger inner voice.
3. We are not willing to accept what’s right
When we are overthinking our own choices or even getting people’s opinions, our inner voice knows what’s the right option and we can totally eliminate our confusion, but we are not willing to accept the right option.
Why? There can be many reasons for that. The right option usually is the toughest thing to do. For example, you had a fight with your friend, and it was your fault, and you know the right thing is to apologize for your mistake, but still, you think that the other person should apologize first. And as a result, you never talk to your friend because you didn’t follow your heart.
Solution- Even if it’s tough to follow your heart and you are feeling confused about it, sooner or later you’ll realize that the easy way out to your confusion is to follow your heart and do what is right to end this dilemma.
Life is not meant to be lived in confusion. Even if things are hazy right now and you are feeling confused, sooner or later you’ll overcome your confusion and feel a bit mature with every decision!
