New Year Resolution

Are You Still Making Your New Year Resolution?

Hey Gratisouls!! Today is January 1, 2020!! The start of a new decade. Happy New Year people!! Do you make New Year Resolution? Comment below!!

When I was a kid, I used to be so pumped up on this day to make my resolutions, but we all know how that ends, right? So, let’s not go deep into that topic!!

I’ve stopped making those resolutions now which means that I have finally grown up!

Why do people make New Year Resolution?

Happy New Year

Whenever a new year begins, people are all pumped up and energized to start a new year with a bang. So, that’s what compels them to make some new year resolutions, which they usually forget by the end of January!! (That’s what I have experienced and heard)

Have you made any resolutions this year? You can share them in the comments below!!

One of the most common resolutions that people make including me is that they’ll start going to the gym or start eating healthy after January 1. But all the foodies know that this resolution doesn’t work most of the time for them!! (Yup, food is love!!)

What is the most common resolution that you have heard? Comment below!

Make an Everyday Resolution

New Year Resolution

All this ‘New Year, New Me’ is of no use if you don’t actually mean what you say. Usually what we say on January 1 as a new year resolution fades away and we forget it very fast.

So, instead of making one resolution for 365 days, make 1 resolution every day and try to make it achievable because if you’ll make unachievable resolutions at your initial stage, you’ll lose motivation way too soon.

For example, suppose you have a lot of pending work and you need to Netflix and chill, make a resolution for that day that you’ll not relax until you’ll complete all your pending chores, and only after that, you can treat yourself!

Achievable Resolutions

New Year Resolution

See, achievable, motivating and by the end of the day you’ll feel a small sense of accomplishment. So, in total, you’ll have 365 chances to feel accomplished.

Now you decide what’s better? Making one unachievable and big resolution and forgetting it after one day, or making one small resolution every day and trying to achieve it?

We can motivate ourselves with all these little efforts daily!! So, be your own coach and guide yourself in the right direction personally as well as professionally!

I hope now you’ll go straight to your room, make a small resolution for the day and try to achieve it!! All the best Gratisouls!
