If you Love to Sleep, Read This

Who doesn’t love to sleep? Especially during winters when all you want to do is stay cozy in your blankets and just sleep and chill. Do you love to sleep? Comment below!!

Do You Know?

According to research, an average person spends about 26 years sleeping in their life which equates to 9,490 days or 227,760 hours. That’s almost one-third of our life!! This is equal to spending our entire childhood, teenage and half adulthood in sleeping. Woah!! That’s a whole lot of sleep!!

I bet you were shaken by this fact and probably got up from your bed if you were trying to sleep!! In that case, you can go back to sleep if it is night time at your place!!

And if you were just trying to take a nap and were not that tired or ill, then it’s time for you to ponder over this fact!!

Sleep is Important

I’m not advising you that you should entirely give sleeping up. That’s not even humanly possible no matter how hard you try!!

A good 7-8 hours of sleep is a must. That is important for us to function properly. So, if you are not taking that much sleep in your weekdays due to your workload, then you can compensate it by sleeping a bit more on your weekends!!

It’s all about maintaining a balance!!

How to Compensate for Time lost during Sleep?

Average Human Sleep

If it is essential to sleep for 7-8 hours to function properly, then you have to make sure that you spend your every waking hour effectively and making every minute count.

If you think that you are not doing much with your life right now, then you have to explore what else you can do.

You can’t just sit and wait for the right opportunity to knock your door. You have to seize every day, every waking hour towards self-improvement.

If you are wasting your time over pointless drama while you are awake, then you’ll be at loss.

And if you think that you work more effectively during the night than during the day, then do what is required to keep your hustle going. But, compensate for that lost sleep on your weekends! Because sleep is also equally important.

Make it Count!!

If you are spending almost 26 years of your life sleeping, then spend the other one-third hustling and grinding so that you can enjoy the fruits of your labor later on!

Just make every waking hour of your day count to make up for the time that you were sleeping!

Don’t give up on sleep, but don’t give up on your dreams either!! While you are dreaming in your sleep, make that dream come true when you are awake!

You’ll get enough time to sleep when you are dead. So, for now, seize every day and make it count!!

Now go do what is needful!! You can do it!!

I definitely took sleep for granted when I was young and before I worked full time. My physical and emotional health have been so much better since I started going to sleep at a reasonable time and not lying awake till 2am! Great and interesting article! 🙂
