I Miss You

Hey Gratisouls!! I missed you all!! How have you been? You might be wondering that this post is dedicated to ‘my someone special’ (ha-ha) by looking at the title. But let me clarify it that it’s not dedicated to ‘someone’, but ‘something’. So, let’s dig in further to know about what is that special something that I am missing, shall we?

If you are a frequent Snapchat user like me, Snapchat has this feature that it showcases flashback memories of what you were doing one or two years back on that exact date (know what I’m talking about?) If yes, then you can relate to this but if your answer is no then let me tell you that it’s a great feature to re-live your past year memories.

Quotes On Embracing Life

What I really want to convey is while I enjoy watching those memories, I do feel that time travels really fast! Sometimes I wonder like it was just yesterday that I finished school and looking for college and all of a sudden, I have graduated college as well and now entered the professional world. (I’m still in my early twenties though if you are wondering how old am I that I’m talking about all this? haha). The point is we are so busy wondering how to shape our future, that we are just rushing through our present moments without embracing it.

Yeah, you should think about your future and focus on your career and accomplish your dreams but don’t do this at the cost of ruining your present relations, your present moment or your present self. Because you won’t be this young ever.

Take this example. Imagine yourself sitting in a car. In that car, there is a newborn kid, a school-going kid, a college kid, their parents, and their grandparents. Now go step-by-step. How would you feel if you were asked to skip right to your grandparent’s age without going through any of the previous phases and without enjoying every stage, but you are promised to have a lavish lifestyle as grandparents? Would you take the offer? Would you skip the innocent days of your childhood, the struggling yet amazing days of your adulthood, the responsible and loving days of parenthood just to have a luxuriant old age? No, right? Then why are you just passing these precious days instead of embracing them?

Quotes on Life

You’ll go through a rough patch at every stage, but that shouldn’t stop you from feeling grateful about all the other good things in your life.

You’ll have many happy phases as well and you have to cherish each and every moment. Because once gone, it won’t come back. (Well, Snapchat might bring it back again after a year or so though… haha)

Instead of simply existing, make your life worth it. Instead of regretting about the ‘could have’s’, just go ahead and do it. If you are going through a rough phase, hold on, it will pass, just embrace all the good and not-so-good moments in your life. Because these incidents will become the little anecdotes that you’ll share afterward with tears of joy.

Because… YE ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA (You’ll not get this life again!)

Living The Good Life

Wondering how I took this blog like a millennial kid taking inspiration from Snapchat features to a real intellectual and thoughtful piece? I guess you are used to it now… If not? Hang in there, you’ll get used to it because I like to give you guys the best of both worlds!! (Haha)

Until then live positively and happily!!!

Thank you for posting this. I have a tendency to not sit back and enjoy the moment. Most of the time I just think of the future instead.

“we are so busy wondering how to shape our future, that we are just rushing through our present moments without embracing it.”
This is so true and something I have been very guilty of lately!
