It’s only been 6 months since we got him and I already feel like a mother who is selflessly in love with her son aka dog! And that’s why I wanted to talk about pet therapy and how animals are the best healers!

Having a crappy day at work? Hug your pet once you reach home and see your worries disappearing. Feeling stressed due to your current personal or professional situation? Go and play with your pet for 10 minutes and see how it uplifts your mood in seconds.

Why I am saying this in utmost confidence is because I feel this magic daily with coco.

How does Pet Therapy work as the best Healing Practice?

You’ll receive abundant selfless love from your pets which you might have never experienced with any other person in your life. (I know that might sound like a sad statement of having so many people in your life still receiving selfless love from a pet, but that is correct in some cases. But if you have a loving family, a few precious friends or a soulmate then trust me you are blessed. I too feel grateful for every relationship that I have in my life.)

But having a pet will make you feel a different kind of love that you might never have experienced in your life. All you need to do is sit with them, look in their eyes like you might do with your partner, and feel the selfless bond creating on its own.

There is some unexplainable magic in the relationship that we have with our pets and maybe that’s why it is called selfless love.

I am saying this from personal experience that I have seen some major changes in myself. I seem to be calm and at peace when I am around coco. Earlier I used to stress a lot about how my career is going and how my future will be.

I still do stress about those things, but whenever I feel stressed, I just go and sit with him, hug him, kiss him, feed him his treats, play with him or just go on a walk with him, and suddenly I can see all my worries vanishing away. And somehow, I make myself believe that everything will be okay! You don’t always have to stress about things you can’t control.

Isn’t it magical how without any conversation you can feel so light and peaceful?

They are the best healers only if we love them unconditionally, they’ll return that love four-fold.
