Go Against Your Society

Have you ever been told by your society to act your age? Or that you should be doing something great at your age instead of what you’re currently doing?

We are often judged by our society who has defined those silent norms about what a person should have achieved by a certain age. But what about our personal opinion and goal? Why don’t people get this simple thing that everybody has their own story?

You can’t generalize everything. We are all individuals who are living a life based on a general opinion instead of having our own individual opinion.

Raise your Opinion against the Society

If you are a girl who wants to become a doctor but you’re already 24 and according to your society you should be getting married or pursuing an easier profession that doesn’t require such a hectic work schedule, then you should do two things.

First, don’t listen to what your ‘society’ expects out of you. They will judge you no matter what. So, let them do what they do best, that is ‘JUDGING OTHERS’.

Secondly, you should be bold enough to raise your voice and opinions about what you feel is right for you. People will tell you to keep quiet and listen to them because you are young and naïve. Well, if they think that you should get married because you are getting old, then how can you be young and naïve at the same time?

Just stay true to your own words, and don’t get discouraged by what others expect out of you. Because if you’ll live for others, when will you live for yourself? #SelfLove

Be Prepared to get Judged by Your Society

As I said you’ll get judged whether you have just started your career or you’re at the peak of it, so why not filter out that negative voice of others and auto-tune to your inner positive voice only.

Now, I know it is tough to against your family or society norms and to do something of your own. But if you’ll not listen to that inner voice of yours, then trust me you’ll regret it later on.

We all live once, so it is your choice if you want to make your life about listening to others and doing what you should be doing at your age or creating your own rules?

It’ll be Tough, but Worth it

When you’ll go against the odds and try to make it through it, you’ll be going through self-doubt, confused thoughts and sometimes anxiety for quite a long time.

But when you’ll see that you are finally starting to get the results of your hard work, and you are actually enjoying it, then my friend nobody can stop you!

You’ll get that feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction and inner peace. Your goals will become much clearer. You’ll have a purpose in life which will then be much bigger than fighting against your societal norms.

So, just live and work for that time to come.

Go against society if you believe in yourself that you will make it sooner or later. It’ll be worth it!

I really liked how you put this together. It was like taking a trip through the steps needed to ignore society, and do what’s best for you. Great Post!
