Self Respect

Hey Gratisouls!! Wassup? There is something important and worth(y) that I want to discuss with you people so I’ll quickly jump on to that!!

Life puts us up with a lot of daily challenges, opportunities, dilemmas, and disheartening news. Its all a part of life. And I love it when I am challenged with something new every day. Because don’t you think life would become so boring and monotonous if we don’t face such challenges. All these new experiences bring a whole new level of mind rush and once you conquer them, you’ll feel like you have done something worthy.

Quotes on Self Worth

What I actually mean when I say that one should ‘KNOW THEIR WORTH’ is that when life gives you a tough situation you should know that if you can look the problem in the eye and face it like a champion or you are afraid of them and would rather deal with minor issues of day-to-day life. You should know your worth. You should know what is worthy of your time and resources and what is not. I’ll share a quick personal experience with you.

I got a new job (Yayy I’m really grateful for it) and its been about 3 weeks now. So, my senior gave me this task to review the reports. At first, I found it quite interesting and did it with all the zeal and enthusiasm in me because it was something new for me, so I did it with a lot of passion, in turn, to learn something new out of it. So, a week passed and I still felt that energy in myself.

But during the mid of second week, I started getting a bit irritated because it was the same task, nothing new was happening, and I was feeling like I already know this. I wanted to learn something new, something more. (Yeah, because your Gratisoul is impatient, quick and a keen learner… Haha).

So, I asked my boss if there is any other task for me because I felt that I have so much more to put on the table and I am not utilizing my resources and knowledge to the fullest with just one task. But he said that I’ll have to wait for a few more weeks because he was running a bit busy so he couldn’t teach me anything new till that time. So, here I am ranting about it to you guys, and waiting patiently to utilize my self-worth to the extreme potential. (Haha)

Self Worth Quotes

I want to have a tiring and a productive day. I want to have a day where I can learn something new every day. So, I’m waiting for my chance to come and thrive. Until then I’m learning by myself. Like, what else I can do parallelly and grow personally and professionally. I’m leaning towards self-growth for the moment because that’s important too. If people can’t teach you, you gotta teach yourself, right? BE YOUR OWN TEACHER.

That’s what self-worth is for me. I know I can do a lot more. Because as I have said earlier, your early twenties are the most energetic years of your life. Therefore, I believe that one should utilize these essential years to their fullest potential. Because these struggle days of ours will become success stories one day.

That’s what I want you to know. Know yourself. Believe in yourself. Introspect yourself. Know your worth. If you think you can do something more, then go ahead and do it. Don’t waste away your days and regret later. Instead do it now, so that you can embrace this grind later on.

Follow the tagline of NIKE… ‘JUST DO IT’. (Haha)

Let’s become worthy Gratisouls together, shall we?

Until then, live positively and happily!!

I absolutely love this post. I just wrote something similar on my blog, but I also spoke on sadness, but this is definitely what I’m feeling.

Self-growth is neverending! I love what you said about not waiting for someone to teach you, but rather you teaching yourself. Sometimes that’s all we can do. Great post. 🙂

Yes, self-growth is a never-ending process. And we should be our own teachers if the situation demands!!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your opinions!

You have a wonderful attitude! We must keep learning every day. We can be our own teachers. This is especially important to me now as I am retired from my 30-year career! Good thoughts! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much!! Yes, we should not rely on someone to teach us something new. We can teach ourselves. We all are self-sufficient and worthy enough to do that!!
Thank you for your kind words!
    It really means a lot!!
