Hey Gratisouls! How have you all been? Let’s talk about something which we all do every time, i.e. thinking. So, what are you thinking right now? Are you happy with your thoughts? Sad or anxious with your thoughts? Want to change the way you think? Or do you love the way you think?
Well, whatever is your answer that defines your true personality. If you are happy right now that means you are living in the moment and seizing your day, if you are anxious or sad that means that you are thinking of bringing a change in your life so that you don’t have to feel like that and can be happy again. When do we think? Is it when we are out there with people or is it when we are alone and can introspect how our day went?
WHEN DO YOU THINK?
I guess we think when we are alone. And that’s when the real deal begins. Thinking alone can have a positive as well as a negative impact. The positive impact can be, when we try to introspect our entire day, how our life is going so far, what’s going wrong and what’s going right and we try to do the needful accordingly. The negative impact can be when we try to overthink everything, try to control everything and as a result end up ruining our mood.
TRUTH ABOUT MYSELF…
I am a big time overthinker, so by the end of the day whenever I get some alone time I try to think about things that should have been gone a certain way, things in which I should have responded in a certain way, so I tend to make that change. But sometimes I tend to think about a single thing and keep on obsessing over it until I can find a solution to it and when I can’t find a solution, I feel lost, like what to do now? How to handle this? So, in those situations, I talk to people, ask them for some advice and tend to think rationally.
But I believe that by the end of the day it’s you who is your biggest commitment, and only you can actually try to fix whatever is messing you up. That doesn’t mean that people don’t care about you or they love you any less, it just means that you have to prioritize yourself first, your inner peace, your mental health, and work on yourself daily.
‘TAKE CARE OF YOUR THOUGHTS WHEN YOU ARE ALONE, AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR WORDS WHEN YOU ARE WITH PEOPLE”
So, whatever is bothering you now, talk to yourself first, ask yourself, ‘Is it good for my brain?’ Is it true? How would I feel if I didn’t have this thought in the first place? FREE? Well, that’s your answer. Some things are beyond our control, they don’t have any reason, it’s just the way they are. This is something I learned by listening to one of Jay Shetty’s podcast.
SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM
So, the best solution would be to discipline yourself, don’t let your mind control your mood, let yourself to be the bigger person who controls your own mood. It is tough to achieve that level, but that is the only way to master inner peace and to have a calm and happy mood. I am also trying to achieve it because as I said that I’m still a ‘Work in Progress’.
You are a strong person. You can do this. Think about things that make you happy and do that whenever you feel low. It could be seeing your favorite person, your pet, your favorite book/TV series/Film, or anything that makes you love your life a little bit more. Just hang onto that thought and relax!! Everything will work out in the end as it’s supposed to be!
Until then live positively and happily!!
