Quotes on Figuring Life

Who Am I?

I often find myself asking the above question. But the veracity is that nobody actually knows who they are because figuring out oneself is an ongoing and a confusing process.

Finding it a bit vague? Well, it can get a lil bit confusing but I’ll let you through it.

Hop onto this Confusing Journey…

Life tests us at every point and irrespective of the result, the idea of who we are and what we want, becomes clearer with every exam that life takes.

There comes a point or a situation in everybody’s life that forces us to make a decision that can be either for ourselves or for others.

And with every decision, we take during those situations it forms up our life. So, however, you are living right now, in whatever situation, whether good or bad, is the result of your choices, thoughts, and decisions that you made throughout.

So, if something is not going the way you thought it should be going, then all you have to do is change your thoughts and make some different choices and decisions that you wouldn’t have made earlier.

Was it Confusing to answer ‘What Did You Want to Become When You Were Young?’

In our juvenile years, when the teacher asks what we want to become, everybody had an answer to that question.

But as we grow up some of us fail to answer this simple question. Why? Why can’t we answer this austere question? Is it too difficult to answer?

Quotes on Finding Yourself

Is it still Confusing to answer ‘What Do You Want To Become Now?’

Well, the truth is we are confused in our own thoughts. When we are young, we are unaware of the practical world out there and just answer as per our own understanding and knowledge at that age.

But as we grow up, we become aware of the practical world, we get to know the actual problems, actual emotions, actual scenario behind everything and that clouds our judgment, our answer to this extremely simple question.

Because as we grow up we get to know about the vast opportunities that are there which we didn’t explore yet, our interests, our passion which still needs to be discovered and all these factors create a delay in answering this question. So, the only solution to this question is to KNOW YOURSELF.

KNOW your interests, KNOW your passion, KNOW your aversions, KNOW yourself first.

Ask the question “WHO AM I” to yourself and if you can answer that question with confidence then you actually know yourself and you can then figure out the other question.

Digital Generation

In this digital era, where social media is both, an opportunity as well as a distraction we feel more anxious when we see others living their lives while we are still struggling.

Don’t let the internet rush you and deceive you from your dreams, nobody is posting their failure. Just remember that!!

You are right where you’re supposed to be and sooner or later you’ll achieve your dreams. Just keep on working towards your goal!!

Don’t feel perplexed if you still haven’t figured out who you are or where your interest lies or what you want to become. Just remember you have an ample amount of time with you and patience is the key.

As I’ve already said, age is just a number. So, don’t let it become a barrier or an excuse that you can’t do it.

Knowing oneself is an ongoing process so trust me since I’m on the same stage, figuring out myself, I know somewhere deep down my heart that one day I will figure out all these confusing questions and come out with a firm answer and that’ll be the day when everything will be much clearer.

It’s a little blur now, but I am trying. And I guess that’s what matters at the end. TRYING.

If you will not take that first step towards the pool, how can you judge if you can swim or not just by looking at it, right? So, just dive in! GO TRY-FIRST. It’ll make you come one step closer to YOU.

So, it doesn’t matter if it is a bit hazy right now. It’ll be clearer soon! Just hold onto that thought and you’ll figure out everything that’s currently going on in your lives.

Great post! I’m in my 40s and still trying to figure out who I am and what I want to do. I do know that I am driven, ambitious and a hard worker. I’m a free spirit and want to be free to travel and explore the world. This is why I want to write. I have recently discovered that I love writing and that I want to write about my adventures in life. I am working towards that dream!

I love this. I’m 27 and as of 2 weeks ago, I am a mommy of four children ages 6 and under. I’ve found that after having 4 kids and being a wife, I’ve lost sight of who I am. This post reminded me that finding out who I am will always be an ongoing process.

I use my blog, not to define myself but to rediscover my likes, dislikes, and to dive in and explore my creative side.

Such a wonderful post. Thank you for writing it!

Kudos to you for managing everything with such finesse.

Great post! Just FYI, some of us DO post about our failures. I’m famous for it. I do it precisely for this reason. It’s so damaging that people think everyone else has it sorted and they’re the only one struggling. My most horribly vulnerable post of late on that theme is the one I made about the realities of dealing with a break up I was going through with a narcissistic partner. By the way, never follow my lead on this unless you have the permission of the person you’re mentioning. I got that before I posted. I’m very lucky that people in my life have been cooperative when I’ve wanted to share crappy things that have happened in my life, where they don’t come out looking so great either. But, you can never guarantee that will be the case, so always get permission first. https://www.indiepreneur.academy/blog/narcissist-empath

In answer to your question, I’m an empathic channel for universal wisdom and I have amazing skills when it comes to helping others manifest their dreams. My passion is for releasing trapped indiepreneurs (creatives and entrepreneurially minded people) back into the wild. I’m a hot mess when it comes to romantic relationships. Oddly, I’m great at helping other people with THEIR romantic relationships. I don’t get it either. So, I’m a work in progress. The less woowoo way of putting it is that I’m an award-winning marketer, blogger, and coach, and I’m also a bestselling author. In the past, I was a magazine columnist for three magazines. That part of my life went on for 6 years. I’m 46. Every day is a school day.

I am who I want to become. I do what I love. The thing I would like to become better at in my personal life is choosing partners who don’t have personality disorders. I see the red flags and I see the ‘true self’ at the same time. Then, I ignore the red flags. So, my project for the next little while is to pay attention to red flags.

Also, I’d like to do more to promote ageless living. People get too caught up in what box their age fits into. This sucks if you’re really young and wise, or really old and vibrant. It’s nonsense. There are three ages: baby, child, adult. That’s it. And you never stop being any of them once you’ve gone through a stage. Keep taking care of your inner baby and inner child, and live your adulthood however you see fit.

Life puts us in a situation where it challenges us to do something that we didn’t know we can do it. But when we accomplish it, there is a sense of achievement. Kudos to you standing strong after going through a lot and still embracing your true self!! You are an inspiration!! And I really wish you all the best for your future endeavors.
It’s great that you can answer the question ‘Who am I’ with such confidence. It’s remarkable. I visited your blog! It’s amazing!!
Thank you for sharing your opinions!

Great post, sometimes life and other issues just get in the way of your dreams don’t they. When I was young I wanted to be a property developer but I got pregnant at 18 and that dream ended.

    April 8, 2019 at 12:42 AM

But still, I feel that it’s upto us if we have the courage and willingness to get over that situation and move on, gather yourself together and start working again towards your goals. It’ll be tough, but worth it.
Sending you all the positive vibes…

This is such an inspiring post! As a child, I wanted to be an astronaut which later changed into a fashion designer and then a game developer. Things change, our thoughts change and in the process of growing up, we find ourselves 🙂

I absolutely agree with you!! Figuring out about oneself is an ongoing process and we learn a lot about ourselves when life puts us into a challenging situation!
    Thanks for sharing your opinions!!

Great post! I’ve always wanted to be a writer but I allowed my parents to deter me from that. Now I’m blogging and it’s the most liberating feeling ever! Follow your dreams and the rest will come. Thanks for the inspiration!
