Are you Enjoying the Journey?

No, nobody is going anywhere no matter how badly I want to go on a vacation but here I am writing another blog on a Weekend! (#WeekendGoals)

But if you know me well, you know that there is a hidden meaning behind my blog title, right? (*Evil Laugh*)

Bon Voyage! (Have a Nice Journey!)

Whenever you go somewhere people wish you to have a nice and safe journey, enjoy your journey or something like that, right? And we do enjoy everything about it. Right from deciding where to go, how to go, when to go, what to wear till we come back. And then we enjoy talking about what all we did.

But can you say the same thing about your life? Are you enjoying where you are or just waiting desperately to reach your final destination so that you can finally start being happy?

Every day is a new chance

Yes, that’s a cliché line but it is true. Even if you failed yesterday, today is a new day, new chance, new situations, and new probability to win this time. You are not starting afresh, you are starting with experience. Be glad for that!!

You have to gather courage and get back up again. Even if you fall 1000 times, you have to get back up again and motivate yourself. You know what? Self-motivation is the key. You can read 100 articles, watch numerous videos on YouTube about how to stay motivated and stop procrastinating (Yes, I have also talked about it and I am including myself too in this example) but if your inner voice is not supporting you to get back up again and start enjoying the process rather than hopelessly waiting for your final destination, you’ll never feel satisfied with yourself or wherever you are in your life.

YOLO (You Only Live Once)

Actually, it should be YODO (You Only Die Once) because you live every day. (Wow, I’m such a genius) So, if we only have this one life then why not live each and every day and learn a little bit from every day?

We grow every day, we learn every day, we fail every day, we win every day, we LIVE every day, so let’s enjoy every day too.

So what if you didn’t get that ‘dream job’ of yours? You’ll get a better one with all the efforts that you are ready to put!

So what if you didn’t get a college of your choice, you’ll excel in your college with all the talent that you have!

So what if your business failed? You’ll find another idea and start again with all your previous experience and knowledge!

LIFE is not about the destination, it’s about the JOURNEY. Because in the end all these little failures, these little mishappenings, these little tragedies will eventually make us strong and become our success stories someday!!

So, the next time when somebody says Bon Voyage! You go and have the time of your life!!

Ugh, this post resonates with me so much! I have major anxiety especially about the future. I am learning to be content with where I am at especially as a Christian, in the Bible there are verses about not worrying because God will take care of your needs. But I’m always worrying where my next job will be, when my husband and I will go on our next trip, when will we have children, when will I be in remission from my chronic illness, etc. I just have to relax and enjoy my blessings right now!

I guess we all think about our future way more than we should. And we all have to remind ourselves to stay in the present and enjoy the journey!! So, you are not alone in this!!
Thank you for sharing your insights on the same!!

Good point! I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t quite agree with the YOLO attitude. Subscribed on YouTube as well!
