Yeah, the banner and the title of my new blog might have grabbed your attention that this blog would be about the recently trending Netflix series ‘YOU’ but unfortunately, it’s not! We can talk about it though! That show really gave me chills and is uncanny yet attention-grabbing in its own strange way. I loved the plot and I am waiting for the next season to air soon. Well, if you haven’t seen the show do watch it!

Now that I have your full concentration lets talk about what this blog really wants to say!! As you have already read the title, this blog would resonate around ‘YOU’. ‘YOU’ are the center of my attention as of now!

In this fast-paced world, where everybody is engaged in something or the other, people have lost track of time to nurture themselves. Irrespective of our age group our lives have become so expeditious, be it completing our school assignments on time and pass in every subject, or to concentrate and get a degree, or to get a decent paying job, we are so engrossed in ‘getting’ things done that we have lost the true meaning of living life.

I know its tough to maintain a social, personal and professional life all at the same time, but in order to remain calm and composed in the long run one has to definitely master the art of ‘self-care’ and ‘self-love’ first. One should give themselves the time to breathe, to rest, to enjoy their own company before they maintain a social life. If the person is not in peace with his own self, he won’t be able to manage any social relations.

We have 24 hours in a day, just give 1 hour in a day to yourself. Go for a jog, play your favorite instrument that gives you pleasure, go out for a walk with your pet or if you have a passion to write or sing do that. Follow at least one hobby that you used to write in your ‘slam book’ when you were a kid (90’s kids… remember?). Just by following your hobby for an hour or half an hour (if you are extremely occupied), you’ll start feeling a sense of satisfaction and contentment. You’ll feel in control of your life. You’ll feel much lighter and happier. And you’ll then have the strength and energy to deal with your other segments in life.

If you are thinking that it’s easy to say but it’s difficult to do then you are wrong. It’s not rocket science. You can take out an hour from your schedule for yourself easily. Try it to know it!!

After reading this blog I hope that you’ll go straight to your place and follow your hobby which you always wanted to do but never got the time to do it. Become a ‘Gratisoul’. Nurture yourself. Rest everything can be dealt with later on. Wondering how I took this blog from Netflix to an intellectual piece? Well, that’s me (haha)! You’ll get used to it though!

Until then live positively and happily!!

That was great! I, however, am a 70s kid … I had 3 kids by the 90s! An hour a day is definitely doable.

Good thought! Specially for “master the art of ‘self-care’ and ‘self-love’ first”.
